Anatomy is a senior level science course which explores the eleven different body systems in an in depth manor. Both the structures and functions of each system are examined. Two overarching themes tie the entire year long course together: form follows function and how each system provides and overall balance for the body (homeostasis). Students are exposed to several dissections including many different organs and a culminating fetal pig dissection. Students are also presented the opportunity to attend various field trips throughout the course. This is a laboratory science course.

Field trips:
Anatomy students participate in two field experiences each year. The first is to the International Museum of Surgical Science in Chicago. The second is to the National University of Health Sciences to experience a real University cadaver lab. Links to the both can be found below.
