About Me!
What led me to Stevens Elementary?
I am from Appleton, MN and I graduated from Lac Qui Parle Valley high school. I then went on to Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall to pursue a degree in Elementary Education. While there I engaged in many opportunities like conducting research with professors, holding officer positions of education clubs and organizations, and even writing a STEAM based activity book that is publishing within the next few years. SMSU also required practicum hours, I consistently chose to complete my placements at Dawson-Boyd Schools, where I gained valuable experience working with a variety of grade levels. After several placements and positive experiences there, I decided to apply for a position at Stevens Elementary. I’m grateful to now be here and excited to continue growing as an educator and being part of the school community!
More about me!
If I had to describe myself in three words, I would say I am kind, determined, and organized. Outside of the classroom, I love being adventurous and spending time outdoors, especially at the lake with my family and friends. I’m also a huge fan of concerts and live music, and I’m definitely a dog lover! My parents have three dogs—a Lab named Flynn and two Golden Doodles, Oakley and Posie—which always makes visiting home extra special.
I recently moved to Dawson, where I now live with my fiancé, Blake. We are so excited to be getting married in June of 2027! Family and friendships are a big part of my life, and I feel especially lucky that several of my close friends are teachers, too. I also come from a family of four siblings, with two older brothers and one younger brother, so there is never a dull moment!
