Welcome Parents!

This page is designed for you to get the information you need to help you student succeed in my classes. You can look on the Student Portal if you want even more information.

Below I have information on how to set up Email Summaries with Google Classroom.

Google Classroom Email Summaries

If you would like to receive email summaries, send me an email from the email address you want to get the summaries sent to and I can invite you.

Signing up is entirely optional! If you choose to sign up for summaries, you will get an email either daily (Gmail account only) or weekly that shows you any Missing work, Upcoming work, and Class activity (announcements, assignments, and questions recently posted by teacher).

During e-learning every week I will post an announcement on Monday of what students need to do for the week.

Additional Information:

Once you have contacted me and I have sent you the invitation, follow the directions below to sign up for email summaries.

Email Summary Example

What’s included in an email summary?

You can see an example of what an daily email summary looks like to the left.

  • Missing work—Work not turned in when the summary was sent.

  • Upcoming work—Work that’s due today and tomorrow (for daily emails) or that’s due in the upcoming week (for weekly emails).

  • Class activity—Announcements, assignments, and questions recently posted by teachers.

Guardians who sign up for email summaries can’t see the Stream, Classwork, People, or Grades pages in Classroom.

Your student is able to see what they are missing on Google Classroom. You can watch this video with them to see how they can use 1. Your work & 2. To-do.
