First of all, the most helpful thing that will let you create a gorgeous presentation is the Design Ideas panel that will show up on the right side of your presentation when you open a new one. Here you can choose from a variety of pre-selected designs. The first slide of your presentation is the title slide. This is where you will put the title of your presentation and the name of the creator or the sub-title.
The rest of the slides will be title and content slides. Here you can also insert images, gifs or even videos to be played during the presentation. In the text you can also embed links, which, when clicked on, will re-direct you to a website.
You can also animate everything on a slide, be it words, sentences, images, etc. or customize their appearances in the Format menu.
You can stylize your presentation by playing around with the text customization in the Home or the Format tabs and changing the text color, size, and so on. In the Format menu you can add special effects to both texts, images and gifs, such as: glow effect, outlines, shadows and many more. You can also add animations to the items, or, by using transitions you can change how two slides will transition into one another.
With the help of animations you can make the whole presentation come alive. There are four kinds of animations: entrance, emphasis and exit. Entrance animations are used to make elements of the presentation appear when most convenient. Emphasis animations, as the name indicates, emphasize on the given element by making it stand out. Some examples are: pulse, spin, teeter, etc. Exit animations make the a given element disappear from the slide. Multiple exit animations can be given to an element but only the first one will show during the presentation, so it's meaningless to use more than one.
The fourth kind of animation, the motion paths, will make your image, text or whatever move along a pre-determined rout. Most of these paths are figures or shapes but there's a custom path option, which let's you draw whatever shape you want.
