What are we doing in math?

We will:

• Continue our unit, "Fractions as Numbers."

• Use unit fractions to build other fractions and whole numbers.

• Work with fractions on the number line.

• Partition number lines to locate unit fractions.

• Recognize fractions that are equivalent to whole numbers and use unit fractions to locate whole numbers on the number line.

• Learn and practice a variety of math skills/concepts, differentiated according to students' individual levels of progress (using the online programs Matific, Splash, Amplify, Happy Numbers, and IXL).

• Explore geometry concepts on Happy Numbers.

• Explore fraction concepts using the online program Frax.

• Engage in puzzles and problem-solving tasks.

• Play math games to strengthen skills and conceptual understanding.
