What are we doing in math?
1/9/26-1/16/26
We will:
Begin our next unit, "Relating Multiplication to Division."
Write division expressions to represent division situations, and solve “How many groups?” and “How many in each group?” division problems.
Relate multiplication and division and recognize division as an unknown factor problem.
Use the relationship between multiplication and division to write equations and solve problems.
Identify known multiplication facts within 100 and their related division facts.
Identify and explain patterns in the multiplication table.
Use rectangles/area diagrams to explore multiplication strategies.
Complete mid-year assessments to determine current progress.
Learn and practice a variety of math skills/concepts, differentiated according to students' individual levels of progress (using the online programs Matific, Splash, Amplify, and IXL).
Engage in puzzles and problem-solving tasks.
Play math games to strengthen skills and conceptual understanding.
