What are we doing in math?

We will:

• Finish our unit, "Fractions as Numbers."

• Review and practice fraction identification, representation, equivalence, and comparison.

• Demonstrate the ability to identify, represent, and work with fractions in diagrams and on number lines; identify and generate equivalent fractions; and compare fractions (complete the unit assessment).

• Review 3rd-grade skills and concepts and practice completing sample problems from the Cognia state test.

• Learn and practice a variety of math skills/concepts, differentiated according to students' individual levels of progress (using the online programs Matific, Splash, Amplify, Happy Numbers, and IXL).

• Practice basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division facts.

• Practice addition and subtraction within 999; division within 100; and multiplication with single digits, multiples of ten, and smaller 2-digit numbers.

• Explore geometry concepts on Happy Numbers and Splash.

• Explore fraction concepts using the online program Frax.

• Engage in puzzles and problem-solving tasks.

• Play math games to strengthen skills and conceptual understanding.
