Late Work and Retakes

LATE WORK

Luckily, most of your assignments are graded automatically or I get a notification if you turn in something late.

IN ORDER TO TURN IN A LATE ASSIGNMENT:

  1. You must attach a Late and Missing Work Form (don't ask me if you need a form, if it's late, just fill one out.

  2. If your assignment is on paper, make sure that it is stapled to the form.

  3. If your assignment is digital, and was automatically scored, make sure to include your score on the sheet

  4. You must fill in a reason for the late assignment.

  5. If the late assignment is not due to absence or a missing score, you will need a parent signature. IT WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED WITHOUT A PARENT SIGNATURE*

    • If the signature appears forged, I will send a copy to your parent or guardian to verify that they actually signed it.

*The reason for the parent signature is so that your parents are aware that you are turning in late assignments. Hopefully, this will allow your parents to work with you to help you manage your time.

RETAKES

Everyone likes a second chance. In this class, you get it!

If you did poorly on a test or quiz,:

  1. Pick up a retake slip from the front of the room.

  2. Fill it out with your current score for the assignment as well as what you feel is the reason for your poor performance.

  3. Bring it to me and I will reactivate the assignment.

  4. After redoing the test or quiz, turn the slip into the tray in front of the room.
