Student Learning Outcomes: The course is designed for students who share a common vision towards the growth and development of the agriculture/FFA program. Students will be encompassed in a variety of leadership, management, employability, public speaking, judging team, and community service skills. “Hands-on” learning utilizing computers, technology, and advanced communications will be addressed. One of the primary objectives of the class is to organize, prepare, and implement the DHS Agriculture Program / FFA Program of Activities/Involvement with FFA Competitions. Students are expected to carry positive attributes such as a positive attitude, productive work ethic, strong initiative and desire to work towards a common goal/vision, and the willingness to be involved.
By the end of this course, students will be able to:
Demonstrate effective leadership skills by planning, organizing, and facilitating agricultural events and activities.
Communicate clearly and professionally through written, verbal, and digital formats in agricultural contexts.
Apply teamwork and collaboration strategies to achieve group goals in FFA, community service, and agricultural projects.
Analyze different leadership styles and explain their impact on team performance and decision-making.
Set and evaluate personal and group goals related to agricultural leadership and career readiness.
Demonstrate parliamentary procedure skills to conduct efficient and orderly meetings.
