The suggested second course of the pathway is CA Criminal Law Concepts . This focuses on the source and scope of laws in California. Students will learn how laws are  enforced , penal codes and case laws, along with punishments for each crime. This course will  teach the students which law applies to certain crimes in order for proper criminal charges to be filed against criminals. In addition students who earn a grade of B or higher will receive 3 units of college credit at Modesto Jr College.
