Class: Classroom Music Location: DECA/DCA

Classroom Music is offered daily to all Second, Third, and Fourth Graders at Denair Elementary School and to Kindergarten, and Grades 3 to 5 classes at Denair Charter Academy. Classroom Music covers a wide range of topics: Basic Elements of Music Theory, Musical History, and actual practice with vocal/instrumental music. During the Fall/Winter classes DECA students will work on the music for the DECA Winter Extravaganza. During the Spring classes DECA students will work on music for a Spring Concert. During this time Third Grade classes will learn instrumental music for recorders and Fourth Grade classes will start learning about the instruments offered for Beginning Band in Fifth Grade.

DCA students learn the basics of music theory and practice  music on various instruments depending on their grade level.
