About Me

Originally, I wasn't planning on being a teacher at all. I actually have a Bachelor's of Science in Computer Science, with a Minor in Math. I was going to be a software engineer, but very quickly figured out that I really did not like the career. Instead, I realized that I had always enjoyed being an educator, and had been working as one to get me through college. I pivoted to working towards my credential in Math, and have loved my job since!

I went to Orestimba High School in Newman, CA. Growing up in a small town like that gave me a big appreciation for making connections with faculty, families, and friends, since there were so few of us. I value those personal relationships and will gladly talk to my students and parents as peers; we don't always need to talk about class, we can talk about whatever else sometimes too.

My family is also a huge part of my life. I love my siblings, my parents, y todos de mis tios y tias. I love being creative in my writing and my art, and I love listening to and making music. If you are one of my students, be prepared to give me some suggestions! I always love trying new music and finding new artists. I'll accept any genre.

I found myself working in Denair because of my roots in a small, rural community. Denair attracted me because of how close it is to Turlock, one of my favorite places in the Central Valley, and because of its small, tightly knit community. Our kids are friendly and upbeat, and our admin is understanding, passionate, and tenacious. We have a great thing going here!

Originalmente, no estaba planeando ser un maestro en absoluto. De hecho, tengo una Licenciatura en Ciencias de la Computación, con un Menor en Matemáticas. Iba a ser ingeniero de software, pero rápidamente me di cuenta de que realmente no me gustaba la carrera. En cambio, me di cuenta de que siempre había disfrutado ser educadora, y había estado trabajando como una sola para llevarme a la universidad. He girado en trabajar hacia mi credencial en Matemáticas, ¡y he amado mi trabajo desde entonces! 

Fui a Orestimba High School en Newman, CA. Crecer en una pequeña ciudad como esa me dio un gran aprecio por hacer conexiones con profesores, familias y amigos, ya que éramos muy pocos. Valoro esas relaciones personales y con mucho gusto hablaré con mis estudiantes y padres como compañeros; no siempre necesitamos hablar de clase, podemos hablar de cualquier otra cosa a veces también.

Mi familia también es una gran parte de mi vida. Amo a mis hermanos, a mis padres, y todos de mis tios y tias. Me encanta ser creativa en mi escritura y mi arte, y me encanta escuchar y hacer música. Si eres uno de mis estudiantes, prepárate para darme algunas sugerencias! Siempre me encanta probar música nueva y encontrar nuevos artistas. Aceptaré cualquier género.

Me encontré trabajando en Denair debido a mis raíces en una pequeña comunidad rural. Denair me atrajo por lo cerca que está de Turlock, uno de mis lugares favoritos en el Valle Central, y por su pequeña comunidad muy unida. Nuestros niños son amables y optimistas, y nuestro administrador es comprensivo, apasionado y tenaz. ¡Tenemos una gran cosa yendo aquí!
