"Don't let sports get in the way of your academics. School comes first! I know it can be very overwhelming maintaining both sports and academics but it truly shows great character. It goes to show that you can do all things great even when things get tough."

What advice would you give to incoming freshmen athlete?

"My advice to an incoming freshman would be to stay organized and manage your time well. Balancing schoolwork, activities, and social life is key. Don’t be afraid to ask for help when you need it, whether from teachers, friends, or family. Also, try to get involved in things you’re passionate about; it’s a great way to make friends and enjoy your high school experience. Lastly, remember to stay true to yourself and keep a positive mindset, even when things get tough."
