On the cover of mom’s books, it says An ‘I believe in you’ Book. Last June, my son was a student teacher and he wanted to give something to the class of grade twos he had been teaching for six weeks. Not a pencil or candy. His sister suggested seeds and together it was agreed that each student would receive a package of sunflower seeds. On one side of a yellow index card were printed suggestions for where and when to plant the seeds and on the other side it said, personalized for each student, I BELIEVE IN YOU. My mom loved this idea and so it became the working theme for all her books. There is an 'I believe in you' theme in all mom's stories – about achieving, about living large, about learning...in a way that encourages confidence and Yes I Can! - personal power.
Books, teachers, and believing in yourself are all so important.
