Why change our curriculum?

It is important to remember that our curriculum was not broken, our students are still achieving and finding pathways to their chosen vocation. We have been responsive to student need in terms of courses and flexible with the way that we teach.

However there are a number of evidence sources that have indicated while students like their school they are not engaged in their learning, they are not seeing the relevance and so they may be more passively involved in their learning.

A review enables us to enhance the good that is occurring, to meet the needs of a modern learner to best prepare them for the rapidly changing workforce and to be successful in their vocational field. We want to enhance the personal development of our ākonga (Students) and engage them in deeper learning to prepare them as best we can for their future.
