Tāngata Whenua

Tāngata Whenua refers to People of the Land. The intent is to refer to our curriculum being one that is Local. It strengthens our people and celebrates our place. It means our curriculum will be unique and responsive to our community and our priorities. A local curriculum is one that can help engage our learners by getting out of the classroom to explore and learn about our local curriculum. The 90min lesson slots allow for excursions out of the classroom to explore the 'local' curriculum.
