Thematic means endeavouring to create a theme for the learning within a subject area as well as across a range of subjects at each year level - Whānau Ora Time is a good example of this. Themes can help to connect a course of work - so they can see that learning is not in isolation. Themes should connect with learners and connect subjects and is a good way to help students to see subjects working together.
