Visiting our Shed

Our Shed is located in the Steadings which is a few minutes' walk from the main car park and situated to the south-west of the Glen Pavilion, with paths and surfaces suitable for all users and abilities.

Access to the Steadings is through the double gates into the courtyard and the meeting room is the first door on your left round the corner.  The 'No Entry' sign on the gate refers to the Peacock Aviary, not to the Shed.

Travel Plan

We encourage everyone to travel by public transport whenever possible and promote active cycling. We recognise many of our members for many reasons may require to use their car to attend Shed events. Ample parking is available in the park via Pittencrieff Street although this can be busy at peak periods of the year or when events are taking place.

Travelling to Pittencrieff Park

The formal entrance to the park is the Louise Carnegie Gates at the bottom of the High Street (Bridge Street). Other entrances are from Pittencrieff Street, Nethertown Broad Street and St Catherine’s Wynd. There are additional entrances from Moodie Street and St Margaret’s Street.

Travel by Bus

Dunfermline’s bus station, situated on Queen Anne Street, is only a 5-minute walk from the Louise Carnegie entrance. There are also regular public bus services that stop on Moodie Street and Pittencrieff Street.

Cycling

Bikes are welcome to use the paths and trails throughout the park.

Visit By Car

No unauthorised vehicles are permitted to drive within the main park. Free parking is available in the park’s main car park at the Pittencrieff Street entrance. Some parking is also available inside the park both behind and to the west of the Glen Pavilion. Disabled parking is available in the car park behind the Glen Pavilion.
