First you need to head outside to a safe, somewhat natural area. Make notes about your observations-

- What plants are growing?
- What animals are visiting-bugs, birds, small mammals?
- Are there any signs of animals visiting-scat, tracks, fur?
Then, after an event that causes stress (see examples below) on the habitat go make your observations again!
