Q: What is the cost for my student to attend TRAILS?
A: Free! TRAILS is fully grant-funded and is available at no cost to you.
Q: What is TRAILS, and what does the program offer?
A: TRAILS is a fun and engaging after-school program offering activity time, snack, homework help (optional), and participation in a club of your student’s choice. We provide a variety of STEAM and social-emotional enrichment activities through our clubs.
Q: When does TRAILS run?
A: TRAILS runs Monday–Thursday from the end of the school day until 5:00 PM.
Q: Does TRAILS run all year long?
A: TRAILS operates in five sessions during the school year, starting in September with Fall Session 1 and ending in May with Spring Session 1. We also offer summer programming for students.
Q: Is re-enrollment automatic once I enroll my student for one session?
A: No, re-enrollment is not automatic. You will have the opportunity to re-enroll your student at the end of each session.
Q: Does my student need to attend every day to participate in TRAILS?
A: No, your student doesn’t need to attend every day. They can choose to attend as little as one day per week or as many as all four days.
Q: What grades can participate in TRAILS?
A: TRAILS is available for grades K–6, with limited offerings for Pre-K. Clubs are also available for grades 7–12, depending on teacher availability.
Q: Is transportation available after clubs?
A: Yes, transportation is provided for students who live outside the town limits.
Q: How do I know what clubs are available for my student?
A: Before each session begins, a list of clubs and their descriptions will be shared with families, allowing students to select their preferences.
