Restorative Practices provide schools with a framework to build community, strengthen relationships, and improve school climate. When Restorative Practices are implemented consistently, schools see improved relationships on campus, increased student accountability for misbehavior, and dramatic reductions in rates of suspension, DAEP placement, and expulsion.  Duncanville ISD views discipline as a method of teaching students skill development to address challenges that may arise and recognizes that some students may need additional support to address behavior skill development.
