Friday- Woo Hoo!!!

Good morning lil workers,

Today is Friday, March 27, 2020. Today is A day and our special is art. I hope you all enjoyed some time outside yesterday. Alexa and I went for a run and then my whole family played kickball. Alexa beat all of us! Here are your activities below. I hope you have a great day and a wonderful weekend.

PARENTS- Could you please screenshot pictures of some student work. It is important that I see the work that is being completed and the quality of the work being completed. I know some of you send it to me throughout the week but if you haven't please submit today. Next week I will begin asking for daily screenshots of completed work.

Please screenshot and send the following:


1. Math workbook page from lesson 14-8,

2. Spring writing assignment (either the poem or the paragraph you wrote)

3. Writing about your favorite three little pig story.

4. Book report using story from EPIC!


Reading/Writing- Read the book I assigned to you on EPIC! It will be waiting for you when you log on. After you finish reading you will complete a book report. I have added a picture to show you which book report you should complete.


Next, illustrate pages 3-4 in the Spring Keep Book. Re-read it aloud to an adult, then read it once to yourself.


Last, read a book choice for 10 minutes and log it into your reading log


Handwriting- In your handwriting workbook complete pages 54-55 capital letter J


Spelling- Have a grown up give you a spelling test!!


Today's book report


Phonics/Making words-

First Complete the last long o worksheet

Next, please glue in long o sentences pictured above. Read the sentences with your child, highlighting the long o words spelled /oa/ /ow/ Then cut it out and glue it into your child’s Red reading journal, next to the long o words we glued in yesterday. Let your child re-read you all the long o words.

Last, pick a long o word and ask your child to write the word. It can be on a mini white board or piece of paper. After your child writes the word check to make sure he/she spelled it correctly. If your child is having a hard time spelling the word, remind him/her to say the word slowly to hear all the sounds in the word. Continue this procedure with at least 10 words (Please don’t use the spelling words, choose different ones from the list


SEL lesson- Bucket Filling Friday! Write a bucket filling note to someone in your family today. Then draw a nice picture to go along with it. This will fill your bucket and make you feel good, along with filling the other person’s bucket. You can use any kind of paper you want for this activity. Sing along with the bucket filling song!


Math- (Topic 14-9) Log into pearsonsuccessnet.com to complete the math assignment. It is topic 14 lesson 9. Please watch the video, do the guided practice and take the quiz. Don’t skip any of the parts! Then complete a workbook page that goes along with 14-9.


Science- Log onto Science. Once you have logged in, look to the top left corner. You will see a small symbol with 3 dots and 3 lines. Click on that. A drop down menu will fall. Click on Life Science. Then click on lesson 7-Young Plants Look Like their Parents. Read/listen to the lesson. Then complete Wrap it up questions orally. Then go onto lesson 8- Plants Can be Different. Read/listen to the lesson. Then complete Wrap it up questions orally.
