Tech captains work under the direction of the Technical Director. They:
Oversee the sound and lighting for the musical
Set up and operate all technical equipment
Manage microphone and lighting cues as actors enter and exit
Troubleshoot any tech problems
Help design sound and lighting cues
Tech Captains work directly with the Stage Managers to ensure that the cues for the show are implemented.
Current seventh and eighth graders with tech experience (such as being in VP2) are welcome to apply.
Tech Crew works under the direction of the tech captains. They:
Help setup the sound and light equipment
Operate sound and light equipment
Adjust the sound levels for the mics
Turn on and off the mics as actors come and go on the stage
Run sound effects during the show
Troubleshoot any tech problems
Current seventh and eighth graders are welcome to apply. Tech experience is not required.
Information about joining Tech will be available on grade level Google Classrooms in December. After information has been posted, specific questions should be emailed to Mrs. Park.
