Dublin Unified School District believes that all students benefit from participating in physical education (PE) that is provided through a comprehensive, standards-aligned program that integrates physical fitness into the broad range of activities that students enjoy. DUSD Independent Study for Physical Education “ISPE” is an alternative to classroom-based PE instruction for students involved in extensive, national-level athletic training and competition for a minimum of eight (8) hours per week in a sport not offered at a DUSD high school.
Independent Study PE is available to students during their sophomore and junior years. Click here to learn more about Independent Study PE, and click here for an application packet. Completed application packets must be turned in to the school by June 1 for the following year. If your application is approved, you will be provided with additional documents, including the Caregiver Waiver and the Outside Educator MOU.
