Association of California School Administrators Region 6 Bob Blackburn Student Scholarship

The ACSA, Region 6 (Alameda and Contra Costa Counties), Bob Blackburn Student Scholarship, awards eligible seniors that are children, grandchildren, nieces or nephews of a Region 6 ACSA member. The purpose of the AUSA Dean Chapter annual scholarship is to assist currently serving members of the military, Veterans, and their families in their pursuit of higher education by awarding a competitive scholarship. Chevron Corporation 2021 Percy Abram, Jr. and Murray Jacobs, Jr. Scholarship

The scholarship is given in honor of Percy Abram Jr. and Murray Jacobs Jr., two distinguished African-American Chevron employees that championed diversity. This scholarship honors their contributions to Chevron and is a wonderful opportunity for college bound seniors to receive funding to help pursue their educational goals. Chevron Federal Credit Union 2021 David P. Smay Scholarship

David P. Smay, III had an acclaimed 40-year career with Chevron Corporation. He was well-loved and hailed as a leader in every position he held. He resigned as a lieutenant in the US Navy, retired as General Credit Manager and Treasurer for Chevron, and finished his career as a Board Member of the Chevron Retirees Association. He was a true inspiration to all who met him. This scholarship is named in his honor and is given to graduating high school students who exemplify the values of high academics and leadership in the community. Chevron U.S. Reach Scholarship Award

The Chevron U.S. (Recognizing Excellence and ACHievement) Scholarship Program is sponsored by Chevron for the children of its employees and retirees. The program was established to recognize and assist outstanding students who plan to enroll full-time at an accredited two- or four- year college, university or vocational-technical school. Daughters of the American Revolution for the Good Citizen Essay Contest

The DAR Good Citizens Award and Scholarship Contest, created in 1934, is intended to encourage and reward the qualities of good citizenship. This award recognizes and rewards individuals who possess the qualities of dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism in their homes, schools, and communities. Once a student is chosen as the DAR Good Citizen the student is invited to participate in the scholarship portion of the program. This consists of a personal statement and a timed essay. Student participation in the scholarship portion of the program is optional. This year's Daughter of the American Revolution for the Good Citizen Essay Contest Honorable Mention is:

Dave Burton and Ted Hoffman Jr. Memorial Scholarship

The Rotary Club of Dublin Foundation is a California charitable corporation focused on meeting the needs of the residents of Dublin and neighboring communities. The foundation annually awards scholarships to seniors in the Dublin high schools based on academic success, community service and involvement, school participation, financial need and likelihood of future success in academic or vocational pursuit. DCU for Kids Memorial Scholarship

DCU (Digital Federal Credit Union) for Kids is a non-profit charitable foundation founded in 2005. The recipients of this scholarship are chosen by a panel of college educators, based on academic merit, teachers' references, original essay and extra-curricular and community service activities. Diversity Ambassador Scholarship

The goal of the Diversity Ambassador Scholarship is to celebrate diversity and unify our community. The message of celebrating diversity does not end in Dublin. The message must be spread beyond our city. The Diversity Ambassador Scholarship is awarded to one senior who is committed to spreading the message of unity, wherever they go. Don Biddle Memorial Scholarship Award from Team Dublin

Don Biddle was a very giving person and served the Dublin community with honor and grace. In addition to serving on Dublin’s City Council and School Board, he was a board member of the local chapters of the American Cancer Society, YMCA, Dublin Integrity in Action, the Dublin Sister City Association and Habitat for Humanity. Mr. Biddle was also a United States Army veteran and a graduate of Purdue University. He was a champion for education. This year’s recipient of the Don Biddle Memorial Scholarship is:

Don Nelson taught physical education and coached at Dublin High School for 36 years. He loved students and was committed to physical fitness and athletics. The two winners of the 2020 Don Nelson Scholarship Award are:

Dublin Teachers Association Academic Student Scholarships are awarded to students who exemplify high academic standards and are the son or daughter of a Dublin Unified School District teacher. The recipients of the Dublin Teachers Association are:

Dublin High School Athletic Boosters Scholarship

The purpose of the Dublin High School Athletic Boosters award is to reward student athletes who are attending college and who exemplify the characteristics of a successful student athlete. This is an annual award open to all Dublin High athletes. The winners are chosen based on a point system that includes years and level of participation, postseason accomplishments and scholastic achievement. This year’s recipients are:

Dublin High School Class of 2021 Scholarship from the Dublin High School Class of 2020

The Dublin High School Class of 2020 chose to use their remaining funds in their account to grant 14 scholarships to the students graduating in 2021. Dublin Integrity in Action Scholarship

Dublin Integrity in Action was founded in 2005 by Dublin Unified School Board Member Randy Shumway, Teacher/Community Member Tim Sbranti and Dublin resident Kendall Cooper. Their mission is to ensure that all citizens, families, organizations and businesses in the city of Dublin are aware of and involved in a city-wide character development program which strengthens and unifies the Dublin Community through ten shared character traits. This year’s recipients of the Dublin Integrity in Action Scholarship are:

Dublin Irish Guard Music Boosters Scholarship

Scholarships funded through the Dublin High School’s Music Booster Program are awarded to deserving graduating seniors that are active members of the Dublin High School Music Program. Scholarships are awarded to qualified applicants who are continuing their education in a vocational school, junior college or four-year college or university. Scholarships may be awarded to graduating seniors who enlist in any branch of the United States military and go into active service following graduation. The Dublin Little League Scholarship is for high school seniors that played in Dublin Little League for a minimum of four years and is planning to attend college or an accredited vocational school after graduation. This year’s recipient of the Dublin Little League Scholarship is:

Dublin San Ramon Women's Club (GFWC) Scholarship

The Dublin San Ramon Women’s Club is a non-profit group that is community service oriented, with many projects focused toward education. They provide scholarships for high school graduating seniors who are pursuing higher learning or a vocational career. This award recognizes the success of the recipients based on academics, citizenship, service, and overall accomplishment. The recipients from Dublin High School are:

Edy Coleman Service Scholarship

The Dublin Partners in Education proudly offers two scholarships to Dublin Unified School District Seniors, in memory of Edy Coleman, a long time DPIE Board Member and past Board President. Edy was an inspiration to all who knew her and through her dedication to DPIE was able to help thousands of students over many years. She was passionate about education and dedicated over 65 years to helping others. She spoke from the heart and could never say “no” to the educational or spiritual needs of children. Edy will be remembered as a heartfelt friend, a beautiful woman inside and out, and for her selfless dedication to serving the community at large. She understood that not all lessons are taught in the classroom and when you pursue a life of service, you often receive more than you give. Golden 1 Credit Union believes in investing in California’s future leaders, and they are proud to help students achieve their educational goals. Haggerty Nursing, Paramedic & EMT Scholarship

This scholarship is in honor of former District 1 Alameda County Supervisor Scott Haggerty who made it possible for Dublin Partner's in Education (DPIE) to fund this scholarship for many years to come. He has great respect for the men and women who work on the front lines every day to save lives. Scott Haggerty has served the Alameda County and Bay Area region over the last 24 years after he was first elected in 1996. Jim Reding Memorial Scholarship

The Jim Reding Memorial Scholarship is awarded to deserving students from Dublin or Valley High School. The biggest testament to Jim’s teaching could be found in the students he taught. Whether it was making hand-carved gifts like salt and pepper shakers or ball point pens to nitro funny cars and gum ball machines, Jim’s students were constantly engaged, challenged and entertained. Jim’s students left his class learning skills that they probably never imagined they had in them. We are so grateful that Jim’s legacy will continue to live on through the lives of students. Linda Rindt Youth on Course Scholarship

Linda Rindt is an avid golfer that couples her love for golf and her deep desire to help youth by providing access to the sport. Since 2013 she has helped nearly 30 Youth on Course members by providing 4-year scholarships to help pay for college. This year's recipient of the Linda Rindt Youth on Course Scholarship is:

Moldvai Foundation Scholarship

The Moldvai Foundation was founded by 2009 Dublin High alumnus, Noel Moldvai, to enable young STEM superstars. After graduation as Valedictorian, he went on to study Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of California, Berkeley, where he was a published Astrophysics researcher. He later worked at Google and Microsoft, has multiple patents pending in distributed systems and is currently a Software Architect at Rubrik. As an immigrant, he believes in the power of STEM education to bootstrap confidence in young people of all backgrounds and empower them to be successful. The goal of the Moldvai Scholarship is to support students not just through their first year after high school, but to provide mentorship and networking for the rest of their education and career.
