Dear Class of 2021 and Families,
In the face of a global pandemic, our GAELS have continued to thrive! This year’s Senior Awards celebration honors the academic achievement of dedicated students who have attained the high exceptions that they set for themselves. For the past four years, these seniors have spent countless hours in the pursuit of knowledge. Their accomplishments highlight their dedication, drive and determination. Never has this determination and drive been more evident than over the past year. Our GAELS were able to overcome loss and difficulties to reach their goals. Seniors, congratulations on your extraordinary accomplishments. To the parents and families, thank you for your support of your student. As you celebrate your Senior, please know Dublin High School is grateful for the role you have played as well.
To date, the Seniors of the Class of 2021 have received a grand total of $5,325,277. This figure includes community, national, military and collegiate awards. We are in awe of our students and look forward to their future success.
Catherine Kuo served as Dublin Unified School District Trustee for Area 3 and was a Dublin High School parent and a long time Dublin resident. She will be always remembered as a beautiful person, a devoted volunteer, and for her selfless dedication to serving the Dublin community. She cared deeply about our children, our community and always encouraged people around her to make a positive difference. Dublin High School PFSO seeks to honor Catherine’s memory and continue her legacy with this scholarship.

On behalf of Dublin High School, we would like to recognize and thank the Associated Student Body officers. During a mostly distanced year, our ASB officers have truly shown the definition of leadership in finding ways to bring not only their class together, but their school and community as well. Through partnerships with local businesses to create school spirit, fundraisers to help community non-profit organizations, or recognizing the needs of Dublin High School students, these officers created, organized, and led events that DHS will forever be grateful for. It has been an honor to work with such an amazing group, and we would like to thank them for all their hard work and dedication.

In a year where no one would have been upset if they just did nothing, these students found ways to engage their fellow peers during their senior year. Their efforts were greatly appreciated, not only by their fellow classmates, but by administration, teachers, and staff.

The Dublin High School Faculty Award is presented to a student who best exemplifies academic excellence, dedication to Dublin High School and seriousness of purpose. While not known for being serious, this year’s recipient is a purpose driven, focused individual. His teachers describe him as outstanding, thorough and thoughtful. He is someone who works hard and contributes in every class, every day. This student’s dedication to Dublin High School was not only evident in his role as an FMP mentor, he also was a reporter and editor for the Dublin Shield, a sideline reporter during games on GAEL TV and helped develop, with his good friend Parth, not one but two podcasts. This year’s Dublin High School Faculty Award goes to Pratham Dalal.

The Senior Service Award is given annually to a graduate who has selflessly contributed his or her time and energy to making their school and community a better place. This year’s recipient has spent the last four years demonstrating what it means to be a GAEL. He is respectful, hard working, positive and above all cares about his peers and Dublin High School community. He has spent countless hours on ASB events and activities, producing segments for the video bulletin and film festivals, on the field with his Lacrosse team, and as a respected and well-loved member of Best Buddies. Each of these roles has allowed our winner to participate in things that he is passionate about, and he approaches each with the same level of commitment to do his best. He enters each class with a "good morning" and ends each class with a "thank you and have a wonderful day." This year’s Senior Service Award goes to Edward Padnos.
