Students will enter the gym and sit on their home base spot that is assigned at the beginning of the school year.
Students will be engaged in a lesson that consists of four parts:
Introductory activity: a quick game or activity to get students moving right away
Fitness activity: an activity focused on a part of health related fitness. There are four parts of health related fitness students will learn about this year: cardiovascular endurance, muscular endurance, muscular strength and flexibility.
Lesson focus: skills will be taught that relate to specific games and sports and students will have opportunities during this time to practice them. All students will be given a chance to experience success!
Game/closing activity: each class will end with a game to help reinforce the skills students were taught that day or an activity that promotes teamwork and sportsmanship
Showing these qualities every day will help students be successful in P.E. and in life!
