Hello! Welcome to fifth grade! My name is Mrs. Wake and this will be my tenth year teaching. This is my fourth year teaching 5th grade at Riverside Elementary. I am so excited to be working with all of you this year!

A little bit about myself. I come from a family teachers and I’m so excited that I have found that my passion is also teaching! 

My favorite subject is math. Teaching and learning about math is something I am very passionate about and truly enjoy. I love our Bridges in Mathematics program and I am a trained facilitator. Every summer I get to lead new teachers through Bridges training!

In 2012, in graduated from Denison University in Granville, Ohio. I was a member of the basketball team at Denison and was on the University Programming Council. I continued my education at Ohio Dominican University and I completed my Early Childhood Elementary licensure program in December 2014. In May 2024, I completed my Master of Arts in Educational Administration at The Ohio State University. I hope one day to become an adminstrator.

I live here in Dublin with my husband Zack, my daughter Isabella and our dog, Finnegan. In my free time, I enjoy reading, traveling, spending time with my family and friends, visiting national parks, sports, and anything outdoors. I have been to ALL 50 states and 33 foreign countries. Fun fact: my husband got married in Jamaica in 2022. We had our first daughter, Isabella, in January 2023. She is now 19 months old and we absolutely adore her! I am an avid sports fan. Go Bucks!!!
