Rules for Tryouts: USGA Rules apply except where noted below:
Please be aware of the rules before tryouts begin.
Ball down: All players must play the ball “down” and not roll the ball unless in “ground under repair”
Out of Bounds: If the ball crosses the White Out of Bounds stakes or off the course, the player must play as a lateral hazard, meaning players are permitted to drop where the ball crossed into out of bounds. (One stroke penalty)
Water hazards are played as a lateral hazard, meaning players are permitted to drop by the water where it went in. (One stroke penalty)
Bunkers: You may not “ground” (touch) the club to the sand prior to contact with the ball.
Lost ball: (especially in the tall grass) Play as a lateral hazard. One stroke penalty and drop two club lengths outside the grass where the ball entered.

Scoring:
Athletes will keep score for another athlete in the group
Max score: Double par – Example: on a Par 4, an 8 is the max score you can take

General:
Walk behind others while on the putting green.
Be silent and respectful while others are swinging.
Declare your ball on the first tee and every time you change balls.
Play ready golf - if you are ready and everything is clear, then play on!
Remember to track your score and partner’s score accurately and before you tee off on the next hole.
Keep a quick pace of play. Keep up with the group in front of you.
Mark your ball on the green.
Have Fun!!
