The Drama Club is a performance based, extracurricular activity that auditions, rehearses and performs plays and musicals. The club meets year-round and is open to all students 9-12. A student who wishes to participate in the Drama Club does not need to be enrolled in the theatre classes. Students can participate in building sets, painting, lighting, sound, props and costumes by joining the technical crew if they do not wish to perform. Students who meet the requirements are invited to become members of Jerome’s Thespian Troupe #6751, a member of the International Thespian Society. This is an honor society recognizing excellence in educational high school theatre. Candidates accumulate points by working on productions throughout the school year. Points are carried over from year to year. Productions include the Fall Play (Drama Club), Children’s Musical (Theatre III Class), One Acts (Drama Club), Spring Musical (Drama Club), Spring Play (Theatre III Class), and the Department Cabaret (Drama Club).
