Reading workshop consists of a focus lesson. independent/guided reading time. and a share component. Learners will focus on fifth grade standards while making individual goals throughout the year.
Writing workshop consists of a focus lesson, practice time, and a share component. Fifth graders will write narrative, informative/explanatory, and opinion pieces.
Word Study
Word Study
Our focus in fifth grade is Greek and Latin roots as well as utilizing resources to help us when needed. We dive into words, learn how to make connections to other words and increase vocabulary in our writing/speaking.
