My WHY
I have always known teaching was for me. Growing up and to this day, my father is a Pastor, my mother manages many shelters for people experiencing homelessness in central Ohio, and my eldest brother just completed 4 years as a missionary in Flint, MI during the water crisis. Watching their love, joy and activism solidified my desire to serve a community of my own- with students!
In 2016, my family fostered and adopted 3 little boys that became the light of my life. In 2020, my husband and I got married (yes, in Covid!). My heritage is rooted in the Lakota Sioux Tribe- I am honored and proud to advocate for my people and my family. Because my cup is full of light and love from my home, it is my responsibility as a teacher to ensure my classroom is completely submerged in JOY and LOVE. It is a blessing and an honor to be your child's teacher this year!
