All of the food from our community garden goes to families in our area who are recipients of the Food Bank. It is our mission to show our community we love, care and are proud of one another.
Our second mission as a community garden is to educate families living in our area on the cultural significance of various common vegetables, and also how to create their own sustainable and organic gardens. We offer mini-lessons over the summer for families wanting to learn how to garden and provide plots to each family to begin their own! We believe everyone should have access to fresh foods, and that begins with knowledge and a space to do it!
Using only organic soil, natural fertilizers and traditional cultivation methods, we produce the best quality veggies to give to our community members!
All wood, structures and additions to the garden are made entirely of recycled or reclaimed wood/products destined for the dump! *Soon we will have a more efficient rain water collection!
