Studio Habits of Mind

In art class, students will practice the eight studio habits of mind, which align with the components of Dublin City Schools' "Profile of an Artist".

Critical Thinking and Reflection

At the conclusion of each project cycle, students will be asked to reflect on their work, answering three questions using a "star rating":

  1. Did I use good craftsmanship?

  2. Did I meet the goal of the project?

  3. Did I try my best?

Craftsmanship

Throughout the year, students work on honing their craftsmanship skills in each of the art disciplines, learning to take care and pride in their work.
