Dublin City Schools Board of Education has adopted the Bridges in Mathematics resources that will be utilized in the Elementary mathematics workshops, beginning Fall of 2019-20, to support students' mathematical development. The process for selecting which resource to adopt began during the 2017-18 school year through the creation of the DCS Mathematics Vision and adoption of the Graded Course of Study for each level of mathematics. During the 2018-19 school year, various resources were reviewed by teachers, administrators and community members. After careful review of the feedback received, the Bridges in Mathematics resource was recommended and approved by the DCS Board of Education in the Spring of 2019.
Number Corner features short daily workouts that introduce, reinforce, and extend skills and concepts related to the critical areas of study at each grade level. New pieces are added to the display each day, providing starting points for discussions, problem solving, and short written exercises.
