Homework
Dear Parents,
Students will receive weekly calendars in their homework binders. The assignments will be listed for each day. Papers will be provided for written assignments, but there will also be assignments that will not involve paper and pencil. Please help your child complete the work each night. Return the binder each day so that we can check the day’s work and note behavior as needed. Students should read and/or listen to an adult read at least one book every day. Please write down the books you read with your child on the weekly calendar.
In addition, a journal topic will be included in the homework assignment. Students are to respond to the topic every night and bring their journals every day so that we can read and respond to their writing.
Sight Word Lists
Students have many sight words to learn this year. Practicing reading and writing the words at home will be a great way to support them in learning them. In the binder there will be a list of words students will need to learn how to read and write. Once they can do both, sign and return the list. We will test them and when they pass they will receive the next list.

Los niños van a recibir calendarios semanales en su folder de tarea. Diferentes actividades van estar escritas cada día. Papel va estar incluido para la actividad de ese día. Por favor, ayude a su hijo(a) a hacer la tarea. Regrese el folder cada día para que yo pueda revisar la tarea y a notar el comportamiento de su hijo(a). Adicionalmente, los estudiantes deben de leer o escuchar que un adulto les lea un libro cada día. Por favor, escriba los títulos de los libros que usted leyó con su hijo(a) en el calendario semanal.
También será añadido un diario con un tema que será incluido en la tarea asignada. Los estudiantes escribirán acerca del tema todos los días, y deben de traer su diario todos los días para leerlos y responder a lo que escribieron.
Palabras de Vista
Los estudiantes tienen muchas palabras de vista que aprender este año escolar. Ellos necesitan Practicar leyendo y escribiendo las palabras de vista en la casa. Esta actividad en la casa será una gran manera para aprender estas palabras. Una lista de palabras estará puesta en el cuaderno de los estudiantes. Ellos tienen que saber cómo leer y escribir estas palabras. Cuando pueden leer y escribir las palabras, firme y regrese la lista. Ellos tomaran un examen y cuando completen el examen recibirán la siguiente lista de palabras.
