The Learning and Development (L&D) Section of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) plays a vital role in cultivating a skilled, competent, and committed workforce. As part of the Human Resource Management and Development Division (HRMDD), the L&D Section is responsible for the planning, implementation, and evaluation of learning programs that support the personal and professional growth of DSWD personnel.
Our core functions include:
Designing and delivering capacity-building activities aligned with the agency’s strategic goals
Facilitating trainings, orientations, and knowledge-sharing sessions across all levels
Supporting talent development, leadership training, and competency-based learning
Partnering with internal and external experts to ensure quality and relevance
Promoting a culture of lifelong learning and continuous improvement
