125th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA) : 2025 Government Job Fair
In commemoration of the 125th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA), the DSWD Field Office 1 - Ilocos Region (DSWD FO 1) Human Resource Management and Development Division (HRMDD) participated in the 2025 Government Job Fair activity held at the Robinsons Mall, City of San Fernando, La Union on September 2-3, 2025.
Field Office 1 received applications from 135 individuals during the 2-day fair. Among these, 40 applicants were deemed assessed to meet the minimum and additional qualification standards of the available positions and were directed to complete the necessary application documents through the Google Form link for further processing.
The agency extends its sincere best wishes to all applicants who participated in the said activity and deeply appreciates your interest in serving the public.

A total of 105 DSWD Field Office 1 - Ilocos Region staff actively participated in the second season of #UsapangHR, led by the Human Resource Management and Development Division (HRMDD) – Human Resource Performance Planning and Management Section (HRPPMS).
The learning session focused on Performance Management, highlighting key updates on the DSWD Strategic Performance Management System (DSPMS). These included a thorough understanding of the Individual Planning and Commitment phase, clarification on the updated Performance Commitment Forms, new signatories for CY 2025, and a refresher on crafting the Individual Development Plan (IDP) — all geared toward enhancing both the personal and professional growth of DSWD employees.

123rd LABOR DAY AND JOB FAIR JOB CONNECT
Congratulations, Hired Ka Na!
Out of 283 4Ps applicants, 73 went home with new jobs — hired on the spot at the region-wide DOLE Job Fair today.
The applicants were supported by the DSWD Field Office 1 - Ilocos Region Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program and the Sustainable Livelihood Program in their employment journey.
This initiative demonstrates that DSWD goes beyond assistance—it empowers beneficiaries to grow in confidence and independence.
Meanwhile, 15 applicants were assessed at the DSWD FO 1 Labor Day Job Connect, with 9 of them completing the initial qualifying test as a prerequisite for the technical examination and panel interview.

To mark Labor Day, the Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office 1's (DSWD FO 1) Human Resource Management and Development Division - Human Resource Planning and Performance Management Section (HRMDD-HRPPMS) held an on-site job fair for vacant positions in the agency.
The event attracted a total of 38 applicants for Project Development Officer II (City/Municipal Link) under the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program, Project Development Officer II under the Sustainable Livelihood Program, and Social Welfare Officer II under the Area 1 Vocational Rehabilitation Center.
After meeting the Civil Service Commission (CSC)’s minimum qualification standards and additional requirements set in terms of education, training, and experience, 16 applicants advanced to the Initial Qualifying Test (Part 1 & Part 2) and one applicant proceeded for the Technical Examination.

OATH TAKING CEREMONY
TINGNAN | Pinangunahan ni Regional Director Marie Angela S. Gopalan ang Oath Taking Ceremony ng mga bagong kawani ng DSWD Field Office 1 - Ilocos Region, ngayong araw, February 3.
Binigyang-diin ni Dir. Gopalan na tinanggap nila ang kanilang sinumpaang tungkulin ng kusang-loob at walang pamimilit, walang pag-aalinlangan, at walang layuning manlinlang o umiwas sa pagtupad ng kanilang pananagutan.
Ang mga nanumpa ay mga bagong "Angels in Red Vests" na katuwang ng Kagawaran sa pagbibigay ng maagap, mapagkalinga at buong pusong serbisyo sa buong Rehiyon Uno.

DSWD Field Office 1 through HRMDD - HRPPMS facilitated the Oath Taking Ceremony for the seven (7) newly appointed staff under the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program administered by the Regional Director Marie Angela S. Gopalan.
After the oath taking ceremony, RD Gopalan reminded the newly-appointed staff to continue being committed in serving the beneficiaries and partners leaving them a message, “You were hired to do a job and while doing the job, you are learning skills and competencies, but learn also to explore other things [outside your TOR] and be open in helping out in other ways."
