Python Basics

Activity based course on Python Basics:

The candidate is expected to attend a two day workshop on python basics as prerequisite for Tango with Django course and other courses in Data Engineering and Science. The two day workshop is fast quick introduction and this is followed by set of activities to be completed online in self learning mode where the individual completes the acitivities or in a colearning mode where the individual completes the activities in a group of not more than five individuals.

Course Outcomes:

• Overcome fear of programming
• Say confidently s/he is a python coder.
• Create applications in python in a group/individually using existing python frameworks and libraries.

Assessment:

• Examinations/tests/quizzes will be "for learning" instead of "of learning".
• Each activity will be reviewed and refined continually with the participant till successful completion . ( Formative Assessment).

Instructional Design:

• Student is expected to find the material ( Or use suggested online material) to understand the concepts, tools, libraries and frameworks needed to solve the problem.
• He can verify his choices, code and progress online in whatsapp chat groups.

Duration

Two days Workshop Mode

1 month blended learning mode at 3 Hrs Per Week.

Rules:

• Your profile will be endorsed by the Innovation Labs
• You will put the required no of hours per week except during the academic intense weeks like internals/final examinations.
• You will take permission if you are not putting in the required hours for any other reason. You will be deregistered otherwise.
