NOVEMBER AND DECEMBER NEWS:
NOVEMBER AND DECEMBER NEWS:
November is full of fall fun! We’re reading stories about squirrels, acorns, and clever turkeys in disguise. Students will even create their own stop-motion videos featuring balloon “floats” inspired by the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade!
In December, our focus turns to The Gift of Reading as students share stories and enjoy time reading with a buddy. It’s the perfect way to wrap up the semester with kindness and connection through books!
It's DINOvember in the Maker Space. Students will explore different creative DINOmite stations. Additionally, the Maker Space experience will allow students to have some Thanksgiving FUN with turkey themed stations. December invites the students to engineer a trap for a gingerbread man after they listen to the story, How to Catch a Gingerbread Man. Students will also have choice in the Maker Space with the November & December maker choice board. The Maker Space schedule will be paused during the Book Fair weeks.
Looking for a special way to celebrate your child and the WSES library? Students select a book on their birthday, take a photo for our BIRTHDAY BOOK WALL, get a special name plate inside the book, and get to be the FIRST to read the new book that will be added to the WSES library! Check out the PTA website for more information. *The books will be donated to the WSE library.
