Hello, I am Miss Chrusch, the  Elementary Librarian. I have been the K-5 Library Teacher for Dallas since 2008.  I am a certified librarian/teacher  with the Department of  Pennsylvania, holding  a Master's Degree in Library Science from SUNY Albany, and a Master's Degree from Wilkes in Instructional Media.   I am very excited to be teaching your child Library and related ELA skills through my lessons and projects on my weeks.

If you have any questions re: your child's library classes please contact me via email:

Circulation Policies:
There are no late fines at the elementary level, we will only bill for missing or damaged books.

Students come to the library every week for 42 minutes. Once a book has been signed out to a student, it becomes their responsibility. If a book is returned damaged, or goes missing, a bill will be issued. If there is any reason why the book can not be replaced, please contact the librarian and other arrangements can be made to clear your student's account.  Please help your child follow proper book care procedures at home, and return their books on time.

Students in K-2  (Wycallis) may check out one book a week. The loan period is 7 days, but students may renew books as long as no one else has the book on hold. If a book is not brought back on Library Day students may stop down to the Library at another point during the week to exchange books when their classroom teacher allows.

Students in 3-5 (Dallas Intermediate) are allowed 2 books, also for one week.  Students may renew books, as long as they physically bring the book they wish to renew to the Library and  and there are no holds on the book. Students may come to the library during open times to do book exchanges, or AR tests. It is generally recommended that one of the student’s two books is an AR book at their level, the second book may be a free choice book.

  Thank you!
