The computeres will not be sent home and use of the computer in the classroom is limited.
We will use the computers for Zearn and rocket math. The Zearn component reviews the daily lesson at a pace that is good for each individual child. Rocket math is a math fact fluency program.
We will us Epic in the classrom for reading remediaton, fluency, comprehension as well as research later in the year. This program allows the teacher to choose books based on topic and subject. It allows the students to further understand the curriculum or practice the phonics skills used in class. Later in the year we will do research on animals, animal habitats as well as Egypt and the planets.
