The first week of school there will be limited homework. The first assignments will be for parents to complete and return all of the paperwork for the office.
Each evening parents are asked to :
Empty and Review all work in your child's folder each evening. If your child had difficulty with a skill, please review that skill and re do the page. If you feel your child needs more practice please let me know and I will send home more practice. I will continue to review and practice those skills in class. Working together we can improve the trouble areas.
This is an easy way for you to see what we are working on, where the difficulties are, where the strengths are and working together we will have a successful year.
Daily homework will consist of
a blue math page each evening
reading homework will be assigned each evening Students will read a story and answer questions about the passage. In the beginning of the year I ask that you help your child find the answers and students may simply just write and answer. As the year progresses please allow your child to complete the assignment independently and we will be writing the answers in sentences form by restating the questions.
