New DMS Security Screening Procedures
On Thursday, March 12, DMS will begin the implementation of our new morning screening procedures. Screening will involve the use of a new, advanced screening devices designed to improve efficiency of the process.
*Students are reminded to remove their Chromebooks and any "ringed" binders from their backpacks prior to passing through the sytem. All other items can remain in their backpack or on their person - including phones, air pods, and water bottles.

DMS Tutoring
Tutoring is being offered for students beginning March 24th. At this time, it will only be available to select students based on PSSA performance from the 2024-2025 school year. The possibility exists that additional students may be added based on classroom performance as determined by the school counselors and principal.
Tutoring is broken down as follows:
ELA - Tuesdays (3:15 - 4:15)
Math - Thursdays (3:15 - 4:15)
*There is no transportation provided. Parents must pick up their child at 4:15 at the main entrance of DMS.

Spring Athletics Physical Information 25-26 Season
Spring sports physicals will be offered to any prospective Dallas athlete on Thursday, 2/26/26 from 4:00 - 6:30 PM, at Geisinger Orthopaedics, 1175 E. Mountain Blvd., Wilkes-Barre. In order to receive a physical, each student must have a completed PIAA CIPPE form (Sections 1-6 signed by parent and athlete) and be in line NO LATER than 6:00 PM.
PIAA CIPPE forms are available in the DMS main office, the DHS website, and in the athletic office.
9/10/25--IMPORTANT REMINDER: Per district policy, students should only have clear or mesh backpacks that they bring to school. Please make every effort to be in compliance with this ASAP. Sports bags do not have to mesh or clear and must be dropped off into the bins as students enter the building each morning.
