The Dallas Middle School just recently completed its Inaugural Student Council "DMS Cares Campaign."
The students, faculty and staff were challenged to collect $1,000.00 over a two week span of time. The donations will be equally split and forwarded to the two charities that the student council selected: The American Cancer Society and St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
Additionally, words of encouragement were written on BLUE HEARTS and are on display in grade level hallways to serve as a reminder of the "Power of Positivity."
The Dallas Middle School rose to the challenge and came together to collect a grand total of $1,022.00!
This successful, collective effort is a testament to the genuine compassion that is at the core of what makes Dallas a district to be proud of.
