During the first week of school, we spend a great deal of time discussing our classroom rules and expectations. We will continue to review this policy throughout the year to ensure our classroom is a caring and warm community. Please take some time to review and go over these rules/consequences with your child to make certain he/she understands what is expected.
In addition, I would like to mention I am a strong believer in the power of positive reinforcement. I will continuously be looking for the appropriate and helpful behaviors that I know your child will exhibit. I reward the children as individuals, as they work in small groups, and as they interact as a whole class. Based on past experiences, I have found that children will strive to earn positive reinforcement and work together to reach the high expectations that are held for them.
If you have any questions, please let me know. Thank you for your help and support. I look forward to working with you this year.
