About The Teacher

I graduated from Bloomsburg University with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and later earned my teaching certificate and Master's degree in Teaching from Marywood University. I began my teaching career in 1999 as a third grade teacher at Chesterfield Elementary school in North Carolina. After relocating to Stroudsburg, I taught an emotional support classroom and then spent four wonderful years teaching first grade.

In 2005, I returned home to Shavertown and joined the Dallas School District, where I began teaching second grade.  In 2018, I made the move to fourth grade - and I've loved it ever since. Each year brings new opportunities to grow and connect with my students, and I'm passionate about creating a classroom environment where learning is engaging, meaningful, and fun.

Outside of school, I'm married and the proud mom of two sons who are currently in college. Our family also includes a lovable dog named Obi who keeps us all entertained.
