About The Teacher

I graduated from Bloomsburg University with a bachelor's degree in Psychology and later earned my teaching certificate and master's degree in Teaching from Marywood University.

I began my teaching career in 1999 as a third-grade teacher at Chesterfield Elementary School in North Carolina. After relocating to Stroudsburg, I taught in an emotional support classroom and then spent four wonderful years teaching first grade.

In 2005, I returned home to Shavertown and joined the Dallas School District, where I began teaching second grade. In 2018, I moved to fourth grade, where I enjoy helping students grow and develop a love of learning. Each year brings new opportunities to connect with my students and grow as an educator, and I strive to create a classroom environment where learning is engaging, meaningful, and fun.

Outside of school, I am married and the proud mother of two sons. Our family also includes a lovable dog named Obi, who keeps us all entertained.
