Homework

I feel that homework should be a review and practice of the day's in school activities. It is also for the purpose of teaching responsibility and organization. My procedures for homework are outlined below. If you could assist your children with assignments and make sure they are completing and returning all necessary papers it will help them to become more self sufficient as they grow.

Students will be given homework folders for all papers and assignments that need to to be carried to and from school. Students will also fill out an assignment sheet in school each day which will also be placed in their folder. This should make it clear for all parents and caregivers what the children are responsible for completing on that night. 

Homework in second grade includes Fundations, Math, Rocket Math review, reading for 15 minutes nightly, and occasional supplemental review work.
