Here is a short video exploring ways in which you can use your cell phone as an animated movie making machine. This type of art (stop-action photography) has been used in movie making for years including films such as The Nightmare Before Christmas and Coraline.

*Stop motion animation (also called stop frame animation) is animation that is captured one frame at time, with physical objects that are moved between frames. When you play back the sequence of images rapidly, it creates the illusion of movement.
