National Cadet Corps plays a keen role to develop the qualities like Discipline, Leadership etc in the cadets, create a human resource of Organized, Trained and Motivated youth and provide a suitable environment to take up a career in the Armed Forces. To achieve this goal, NCC unit was raised at this institute in 2015 . Dr. Jivraj N. Mehta Government Polytechnic, Amreli has a total strength of 01 Platoon of 55 cadets Senior Division (SD) is affiliated with 6 GUJ BN NCC, BHAVNAGAR.

Character, Comradeship, Discipline, Leadership, Secular Outlook, Spirit of Adventure, and Ideals of Selfless Service amongst the Youth of the Country.
To Create
Fa Human Resource of Organized, Trained and Motivated Youth, To Provide Leadership in all Walks of life and be Always Available for the Service of the Nation.
To Create
a Suitable Environment to Motivate the Youth to Take Up a Career in the Armed Forces.
Objectives of the NCC are
1) Reach out to the maximum youths through various institutions.
2) Make NCC an important part of the society.
3) Teach positive thinking and attitude to the youths.
4) Become a main source of National Integration by making NCC as one of the greatest cohesive force of our nation irrespective of any caste, creed, religion or region.
5) Mold the youth of the entire country into a united, secular and disciplined citizens of the nation.
6) Provide an ideal platform for the youth to showcase their potential in nation building.
7) Instill the spirit of secularism and united India by organizing National Integration Camps all over the country.
8) Reach out to the youths of friendly foreign countries through the Youth Exchange Program (YEP).
