Visual Art Comp 2
Chemvas Typography + Artists Statement
In this assignment we worked on Sketchpad to create the word CHEMVAS in a unique styles with including science and art.
Artist Statement:
In this project we created the word CHEMVAS with using art and science in our own unique way. Some tools I learned to complete my image were: pencil, new, export, and how to make a background transparent. With regards to the Elements of Art and Principles of Design, I think my work effectively shows emphasis, rule of thirds, dynamic composition, color, shape, texture, and pattern. For example, if you look at the letter A, you can see that the emphasis(focal point) is the yellow dot. In this assignment, I liked working with different types of tools to create a well-thought creative image. Lastly, in the future, I can use these tools to create a well-thought creative image for a business idea or for a project.
It's Elementary + Artists Statement
In this assignment we used everything that we learned to make a drawing on Photopea based on our element. First we made sketches based on our element and then we made an image. I used boron and made an image of fertilizer to show fertilizer being used since boron is in fertilizer.
Artist Statement: For this project I had to use an element and create an image of it while also having some sort of atmosphere perspective in it. I first made 3 prototypes and then I did an oral to explain my prototypes. After this I chose one of my prototypes and created it on Photopea. I used Boron’s qualities to help me figure out what I’m going to make. My inspiration of making a farm was to show fertilizer in plants. I used principles of design such as dynamic composition, focal point, and atmospheric perspective. I found making the house difficult because the polygonal lasso was difficult to work but making the distance between the mountains was fun. Lastly, if I were doing it again I would make a park and I would do better than what I did this time.
