Volunteering isn't just helping people in need, its helping you're community. All of my volunteer hours that I received have been from Drew. From working in the Book Buddies club to helping set up for the 8th grade prom, my volunteer service has provided assistance to teachers, staff, and students. It is important to volunteer because it teaches selflessness. Helping someone out in the smallest way could put a smile on their face. I believe Drew requires us to have 100 volunteer hours because it teaches us to help our community. There a plenty of ways to get volunteer hours and each way can teach someone something new. For example, simply setting up workout stations for our 'Healthy you, Healthy Drew" event has motivated me to slowly begin to workout. I learned from volunteering at Drew that the most important lesson you get is the want to help your community.
