During my first semester as a dual enrollment student at Georgia State University’s Clarkston campus, I took English 1101 and Critical Thinking. Being on campus provided me with the college experience and the sense of freedom I had been longing for. Its very different from high school, where teachers would often plead with students to do their work and attend class. In college however if you don't meet expectations the consequences are clear you simply get kicked out.

Georgia State University offers the C.O.R.E. paid program, which is  available to dual enrollment students at the Clarkston campus, specifically for those in the Drew program. If you're interested in STEM, this program is definitely worth considering. It doesn’t interfere with your regular classes, as it takes place during the extra hour you're on campus. Through this program you'll learn how to break down your research and understand when to use quantitative and qualitative methods. Quantitative research involves numbers and data, while qualitative research focuses on words, descriptions, and observations.
